The Grind to Brew Co. WDT Tool features 0.5 mm needles designed to break up clumps and redistribute freshly ground coffee throughout your portafilter basket before tamping.
WDT — or the Weiss Distribution Technique — is a simple puck-preparation method that helps distribute coffee more evenly throughout the basket. By working the fine needles through freshly ground coffee, you can break apart clumps and move grounds into areas that may have been left uneven during grinding.
0.5 mm Needles for Controlled Distribution
The tool uses 0.5 mm needles, providing a fine contact point for working through your coffee grounds without using the thick prongs commonly found on some traditional coffee distribution tools.
Use small circular motions to work through the coffee bed, reaching the bottom and edges of the basket before gradually working toward the surface.
Designed for Your Espresso Workflow
The WDT Tool pairs especially well with a dosing funnel. The funnel helps contain loose grounds while giving you room to work the needles around the edges of the basket without making a mess.
Once distribution is complete, remove the WDT tool and dosing funnel, then continue with your normal puck-preparation and tamping routine.

Due to the nature of 3D printing, minor layer lines and small surface variations may be visible. These are normal characteristics of the manufacturing process and do not make each piece defective.
